PUTTING ART INTO CONTEXT

Have you ever wondered why an artist painted a particular
picture? What was happening in the painting and in that particular place at that particlar time? In other words
what was the social history background to art. Paris was the centry of the art world from 1860 to World War II.
The courses aim to discover why and includes Impressionism, Art Nouveau, Modernism and Avant Garde, Art Deco and the legacy
these movements have left. The modules will include Architecture, Sculpture and Russian Art. The courses will
run for 6 weeks at €90 each from mid to late October and resuming after Christmas in Anni's house near Chalabre.
It will consist of lecture, visual content, discussion and access to books. Gallery visits will be arranged where
possible. Anni is a BA Honours graduate in the History and Theory of Art form the University of Kent. For email enquiries, please

service for your holiday home or gite throughout the year, in the area within 15Km of Chalabre. We will hold keys, ensure
that your guests/clients arrive to a clean property, with an appropriate welcome pack. The beds will be made and we
will ensure that it is warm in winter and cool in summer. We will do the end of occupancy check, keep the garden in
good shape and look after the swimming pool on a weekly basis. We also offer a laundry service for towels and bedlinen.
We will do any necessary troubleshooting and keep you informed of the situation. Our charges depend on the type of property
and we ask for a monthly standing order so that we can maintain maximum attention all year round.
